A day in the life of a Senior Women's Footwear Designer at Vans looks a little like this.
Vans is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Women's Footwear Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in footwear design, with a passion for creating industry-leading lifestyle designs. This role involves executing brand-driving footwear design projects, managing tech packs and factory communication, and leading and mentoring designers and associate designers.

Footwear Design Projects:
Execute brand-driving footwear design projects from start to finish in coordination with the seasonal creative direction.
Harvest insights and inspiration to create industry-leading lifestyle designs.
Ensure designs align with Vans' brand identity and market trends.
Tech Pack Delivery and Factory Communication:
Deliver detailed tech packs and manage communication with factories through the development process.
Oversee the GTM (Go-To-Market) process to ensure timely and accurate production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead and mentor designers and associate designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Promote sustainable work practices and process improvements.
What do you need to succeed?

Ability to translate insights and inspiration into compelling footwear concepts.
Knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandising, Product Development) to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Hiring Range:
$96,768.00 USD - $120,960.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
