What will you do?
A day in the life of a Manager of Consumer Insights & Analytics at Vans looks a little like this. As a key member of the Global Strategy team, the Global Consumer Insights and Analytics Manager plays a vital role in shaping the future of our brand by ensuring the voice of the consumer is at the forefront of strategic decision-making. This global role partners closely with regional and cross-functional teams, including Strategy, Marketing, Product Design & Innovation, and Merchandising.
In this role, you will proactively identify growth opportunities and guide strategic initiatives through the development and application of breakthrough consumer insights. By leveraging syndicated data sources along with quantitative and qualitative research methods, you will help drive a culture of consumer-centric thinking across the organization.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Global Consumer Insights & Analytics, and requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for uncovering insights that lead to meaningful business impact.

Lead consumer insight projects using a mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods to uncover what drives consumer behavior and preferences, helping shape brand, product, and marketing strategies.
Identify and size growth opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, behaviors, and market dynamics—connecting the dots to highlight where the brand can win next.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams (including Strategy, Marketing, Product Design & Innovation, Merchandising, Consumer Insights & Analytics) to embed consumer insights into product development and go-to-market planning.
Analyze and translate syndicated data (e.g., Circana, Euromonitor, etc.) into actionable insights that help monitor market performance, brand health, and category shifts.
Champion a consumer and athlete-first mindset by sharing key insights across the business and building tools or frameworks that help teams think more empathetically and strategically about the consumer.
Create compelling insight stories that bring data to life—using visuals and storytelling to drive understanding, alignment, and action.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 6+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
6+ years of experience in consumer insights, analytics, or market research—ideally in a global or cross-functional environment where insights directly impacted business outcomes.
Proven ability to drive business performance by turning consumer insights into actionable strategies that enhance product innovation, marketing, and overall brand success.
Strong analytics expertise, with experience analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns and trends, and providing actionable insights that shape business decisions. Proficient in leveraging platforms such as SPSS, Desktop Reporter, Q, and JMP for advanced analysis.
Proactive in identifying cross-functional needs—you anticipate research requirements across teams (like Marketing, Product, Strategy, etc.) and deliver tailored insights through custom research, from design to final delivery.
Hands-on experience with research tools and platforms like Qualtrics, IRI, Euromonitor, and expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Able to connect the dots—you synthesize insights from multiple sources and turn them into clear, compelling and actionable recommendations that drive business impact.
Solid experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, focus groups, and concept testing—comfortable designing and executing studies from start to finish.
Collaborative team player—you work well across departments, influencing product, strategy, and marketing teams with data-driven insights that shape decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories from data and present insights clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Hiring Range:
$93,312.00 USD - $116,640.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
