Role Purpose:
To Support the development, marketing, relationship management (both client and broker) of our growing book of Property business
Expanding the Property account in line with EIID (Everest Insurance Ireland DAC) plans and underwriting strategy, whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and delivery of EIID plans
Key Accountabilities:
Working within the authority granted, writing a profitable book of Property business per the EIID Underwriting guidelines
Expand and maintain existing broker relationships and other sources of distribution, and developing new relationships, where this is consistent with the objectives set in the Business Plan
Expanding the current product range to allow Everest to compete with the market leaders in the sector
Quoting and Leading the placements of Property clients, and effectively managing any specific MGA clients
To refer as appropriate risks exceeding prescribed underwriting authority
Develop business through execution of new ideas in addition to utilising all the available Everest resources to grow, develop and maintain a profitable book of Property business
Procuring business from Dutch market brokers, both existing and those whom EIID does not currently trade
To liaise with the Claims Manager on claims related issues and participate in account and management reviews
To participate in the underwriting peer review process at the weekly and monthly underwriting meetings, as required
To assist with the completion and review of strategic and underwriting guidelines & pricing models
To contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures
To assist in the improvement of the management information systems, rating models, underwriting manuals, service standards, marketing materials, website and risk management and claims functions
Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to EIID standards
Effectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as needed
Marketing EIID in the Netherlands through contributing to articles and representing Everest at conferences as speaker or panel member
Collaborate with Everest colleagues in the International office locations, as well as in the United States
To monitor and keep abreast of changes in underwriting, regulation and compliance
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Professional Experience:
Good understanding of underwriting in the Dutch insurance marketplace
In-depth knowledge and experience of Underwriting Property products
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
