WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

\n

\n\nOversee and support the performance of drivers to ensure they meet the established Key Performance Indicators \nEnsure all transport operations are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, while maintaining operational efficiency.\nMake necessary changes to daily transport plans if issues arise to ensure smooth operations\nProactively address and resolve any issues related to transport operations or coordination with the warehouse to minimize delays and maintain productivity.\nLead daily briefings and debriefings with drivers to communicate important updates, safety information, and expectations for the shift.\nManage Driver performance to identify any major discrepancies in accordance with the Daily Transport Plan\nEnsure drivers and the fleet comply with all relevant legal, safety, and operational standards, ensuring smooth and lawful operation throughout the shift\n\n

\n\nPrevious and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment\nComprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices\nPrevious experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders\nComputer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages\nExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports\nA recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received\n\n
