Translation Associate Project Manager

Job Overview

The Linguistic Solutions team within PCS Instrument Services at IQVIA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Translation Associate Project Manager to manage linguistic validation and translation development projects of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs).   

Job Summary

The Translation Associate Project Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of COA cultural adaptation. The ideal candidate will support the management of translation and linguistic validation projects, ensuring that all translations meet quality standards and project timelines. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of translation and linguistic validation projects, with adherence to project scope, timeline, and budgetManage LSP’s and vendors collaborating on translation and linguistic validation projectsHelp manage the extraction, translation, and integration of content across various languages and platformsCoordinate project meetings, draft agendas, and detailed meeting minutesCoordinate linguist recruitment and manage vendor SOWs and trackersCommunicate with translation vendors and linguists to ensure timely delivery and high-quality workMaintain comprehensive project documentation, including translation glossaries, style guides, and project plansCollaborate with instrument developers, science advisors, and/or COA managers for concept elaboration, as needed to perform translation reviewsConduct preliminary quality checks and reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency within a language and across all languages included in a studyRecord QA findings and communicate effectively with translation providers to resolve issues before project finalization and client deliveryProvide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on project status, risks, and challengesIdentify and resolve any issues that arise during the translation process, escalating to senior project managers when necessaryMonitor and maintain quality in project documentation, deliverables, and reportsManage multiple, parallel complex projects simultaneouslyFollow company and department SOPs and WIsPartner with other project managers to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and best practices

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor's degree requiredPrior experience in Linguistic Validation of COAs requiredMinimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExcellent written/verbal communication skillsFluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong assetStrong grasp of project management techniques requiredStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, parallel complex projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with translation and localization tools, such as TMS and CAT toolsProficient in project management software and computer skills, including MS Suite applications, Visio, Smartsheet, Power BI, etc.Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiativeAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligenceMeticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of project documentation and deliverables
