As the Senior Manager, Portfolio Management & Strategic Initiatives, you will manage and support the Day to Day banking and Mutual Fund portfolio within the Retail Client Value, Deposits and investments team in Canada, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 
 

Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge

Support end-to-end project management for Retail Deposits strategic initiatives, including scoping business requirements, business casing, conducting analysis and project delivery in collaboration with stakeholders and partners

Monitor, assesses, and evaluates portfolio trends and provide an ongoing insight on KPIs which are important for Day to Day and Mutual Fund portfolios to achieve its annual portfolio growth targets

Monitor and lead the post implementation analysis and tracking of key initiatives to measure success against projected KPIs

Plays a leading role in key portfolio performance routines including monthly results, forecasting, quarterly results and annual planning in collaboration with Canadian Banking Finance

Support the business planning, development and implementation of strategy related to Retail Deposits in collaboration with key business partners and functional teams

Conduct and lead analysis on Day to Day and Mutual Fund portfolios including product types, customer profiles, national and regional performance, in collaboration with Analytics

Manage the rate pass-through strategy with changes in Bank of Canada rates

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: 
 

Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics or related field; MBA or CFA would be considered an asset

Several years of experience working in the Financial Services industry

Previous experience in product P&L management

Strong analytical and MIS background, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and SQL

Solid project management skills to effectively prioritize, manage and implement completing initiatives

Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills, with ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Experience in pricing or direct Deposits product experience would be considered a strong asset

Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment
