Manager, Social Content/Copy (Timberland)
What will you do?
As Manager, Social Content/Copy, you will bring Timberland’s brand story to life through always-on, real-time storytelling across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms. You’ll be a hybrid creator, copywriter, and creator campaign manager—producing your own fast-turn content, while also managing influencer/creator content through CreatorIQ and agency partnerships.
You will report to the Head of Social, while working closely with the Head of Creative to ensure all output aligns with Timberland’s evolving brand look, feel, and voice.
Craft engaging, platform-native copy for TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms, aligned with Timberland’s brand voice
Concept, capture, and edit short-form video content—shooting and producing quick-turn mobile-first stories and moments
Fulfill influencer briefs: collaborate with agencies and creators to activate, track, and review influencer content using CreatorIQ
Manage internal approvals and content flow via Opal, ensuring content is delivered on time and aligned to creative and campaign guidelines
Actively integrate AI tools to accelerate content development
Support the execution of social creative briefs, ensuring a consistent social storytelling approach across Timberland’s platforms
Coordinate and manage shoots and creator activations, ensuring clear briefs, timelines, and deliverables
Act as a key connector between social, creative, brand marketing, and external agency partners to deliver against social campaign needs
Surface cultural and platform trends to inform real-time opportunities and ensure Timberland stays present in conversation
How you will do it:
You’ll be both a creative and a doer—someone who thrives on balancing fast content creation with thoughtful, strategic execution.
Create with agility. Produce mobile-first, socially native content that shows up in real-time, without sacrificing quality
Manage with precision. Use CreatorIQ and Opal to manage creator content, approvals, and timelines, delivering projects on time and on brief
Write with heart and edge. Capture Timberland’s evolving voice in all touchpoints—from captions to campaign copy
Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner closely with internal teams (social, creative, brand marketing) and external agencies and creators to bring briefs to life
Integrate new tools. Leverage AI tools to brainstorm, speed up copywriting, and support content visualization
Stay tapped into culture. Use real-time insights and trend tracking to inform content recommendations and spark community conversation

What do you need to succeed?
We believe skills and passion matter most. While a degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field is a plus, we are most interested in your 5–7 years of experience and proven creative work in the social content space.
The foundational skills for this role:
Strong content creation skills—especially short-form video editing (using CapCut, InShot, FinalCutPro, Adobe Rush, or similar mobile editing tools)
Exceptional social copywriting and storytelling skills
Proficiency in CreatorIQ for managing creator programs and content fulfillment
Familiarity with Opal for campaign content planning and approvals
Comfort using AI tools as part of the creative development process
Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture, trends, and platform nuances
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with creative polish and operational discipline
Collaborative spirit with strong attention to detail and brand standards
Passion for culture, creativity, sustainability, fashion, and community

Hiring Range:
$85,360.00 USD - $106,700.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
