Systems & Application Engineer

We now have a new opportunity to recruit a System & Application Engineer to Danfoss Power Solutions, where you can use your knowledge in off-highway applications.  As a System & Application Engineer, you will be a part of a team of 50-55 dedicated System & Application Engineers, working both from Danfoss sites, and on-site with our customer base.  The role will involve travel of approximately 50 days per year, primarily domestically.  We would also consider home office for candidates with industry experience and background.

Job Responsibilities

As System & Application Engineer in Finland, you will have direct contact with our customers. Your main task will be to apply solutions based on Danfoss Power Solutions’ mobile hydraulic and electronic control products.  More in detail, you will: 
•    Offer cross-team support for Hydraulic and Software (Plus+1) products for off-highway engineering.
•    Proposing proof-of-concept application software solutions.
•    Support in pre-selling and conducting customer presentations.
•    Host and/or organize technical training to support our customers in using Danfoss Power Solutions products. 
•    Technical specifications based on customer requirements
•    Hydraulic and Software system design and sizing.
•    Supporting customers in using Plus+1 Software application.
•    On-site machine testing and tuning, or at our Application Development Centre in Nordborg (Denmark).
•    Carrying out day-to-day inquiries and tasks relating to fulfilling customers’ technical requests.
•    Managing customer projects internally and communicating between internal stakeholders and customers.
•    Communicate the voice of our customers by sharing current and future technical mobile market needs with the European team members and other stakeholders.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Degree or equivalent in Engineering within Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical, or a relevant engineering background. Experience/Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems is required. Eagerness to learn and develop your skills and be open to further your skills and experience by employing a growth mindset. You should be a committed team player You should be able to communicate well in Finnish, as well as having good English skills.


Advantageous are:

Knowledge and experience of application engineering and mobile Off-Highway applications. Experience or knowledge in application control systems. CAN bus communication technology and/or hydraulic systems and analysis will be an advantage. PLUS+1® or other programming skills.
