SVP, Sales Strategy & Operations

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations to lead our ad sales planning strategy and inventory management efforts for our networks, driving revenue growth and operational excellence.

ABOUT YOU

The Senior Vice President, Sales Strategy & Operations will oversee the management of network linear and cross-platform proposals, planning, inventory and account management processes from pre-sale to post-sale. This role requires a strategic leader who can align inventory strategies with sales initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of fluidity deals in collaboration with the digital strategy team.

YOUR DAY-DAY

Manage the proposal, planning, and maintenance processes of network linear and cross-platform sales from pre-sale to post-sale.Drive the final steps of the WideOrbit sales platform implementation and leverage the platform to drive linear workflow efficiencies, post go-live.Recommend strategic planning and selling solutions that align with overall sales initiatives and strategy, including digital extensions.Collaborate with local counterparts as they analyze system enhancements and new platforms. Share knowledge and leverage past experiences/learnings.Tight engagement with the cross-platform and digital strategy teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.Motivate, manage, and foster the learning and career development of the 30-member Sales Planning and Account Management team across NY, Chicago, LA, and Miami.Attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent for the Sales Planning and Account Management teams.Develop strong relationships with the sales, finance/analytics, traffic/media operations, and marketing teams as well as the members of the Senior Leadership Team.Work diligently with the Traffic & Inventory Management team to enhance collaboration and provide the highest level of client service.Continue to innovate and optimize internal planning processes for increased efficiency.Create and implement strategies to improve team operations and departmental efficiency.Organize, delegate, prioritize work, and establish reasonable timelines for deliverables.Execute and review monthly and quarterly closing/performance reports.Collaborate with senior sales leadership to maximize revenue and product utilization across all tentpole and special programming.

YOU HAVE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 12+ years of experience in ad sales support within a comparable network or publisher brand.Digital or cross-platform experience is highly desired.Local media experience is a plus.Extensive experience in people management and mentoring.Positive, solutions-oriented, and success-driven attitude.Strong instinctual problem-solving abilities, displaying good judgment in decision-making.Ability to manage diverse personalities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including formula creation and pivot tables).Familiarity with media order entry systems such as Wide Orbit, Operative.One, Strata, and Tapscan is a plus.Proven ability to effectively multi-task in high-volume environments and meet deadlines with accuracy.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.  Base Annual Salary: 243k-300k
