As a Global Logistics Co-op supporting our responsible business commitments, the successful candidate will play a key role in advancing carbon emissions visibility, analysing sustainability data, and driving impactful environmental initiatives across our global supply chain. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills in data analysis, project management, and sustainable logistics.
This role will encompass several objectives within the Global Logistics team, driving progress towards Convatec’s sustainability commitments
This role will report into Global Logistics System, Process and Continuous Improvement Lead.
100% paid internship – 1891.66 GBP monthly gross.
3 to 6 months internship.
Hours per week – 20h/week, up to 40h/week.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Carbon Emissions Dashboard Development:
Collaborate with Convatec’s global logistics team and third-party freight visibility provider to develop a carbon emissions dashboard, ensuring that:
Carrier data is automatically collected and integrated
A validated emissions calculation method (aligned across teams) is applied
Outputs are verified and accurate
Users are trained and the dashboard is embedded in monthly performance reviews
Data Analysis & Idea Generation:
Use data from warehouse and transportation suppliers to identify opportunities for sustainability-related improvement. Present insights and proposals to the Global Logistics leadership team.
Project Evaluation & Execution Support:
Lead the evaluation of prioritised sustainability projects and assist in their execution, tracking progress and supporting implementation efforts.
Skills and Competences:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
Effective team collaborator with experience (or interest) in brainstorming, problem-solving, and project support
Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
Clear, concise communicator with good presentation skills
Creative and adaptable thinker with a proactive mindset
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
