The Central Sterile Processing Supervisor supports Perioperative Leadership in overseeing and managing the Central Sterile processing Department. This individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgement to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. The Supervisor-Central Sterile Processing must act as a leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting departmental leadership in developing, setting, and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Marshfield Clinic health System (MCHS) mission statement.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of Sterile Processing Technician program or Scrub Technician program or Registered Nurse (RN) program.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years’ of varied perioperative services experience.
Preferred/Optional: Two years’ of Team Lead/Charge experience. Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word and Word Excel. Demonstrated experience with Impress or similar Instrument Tracking System knowledge.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Central Supply Processing Department Certification (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Services technician Certification (CRCST). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within one month of hire
Preferred/Optional: Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) or equivalent manager certification (CNOR). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
