Supervisor, Multicultural Strategy

Our approach is grounded in using data and technology to connect with real people across the full funnel, ensuring that Walmart’s investment in media is directly contributing to innovative marketing experiences, driving brand and business growth.** **Overview** We’re looking for a talented Supervisor, Strategy to manage the day-to-day Media Planning and Strategy functions for a high profile and fast-paced account. This person will lead a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of media plans that authentically connect with diverse audiences. The Supervisor effectively leverages experience, knowledge and skills to push fresh thinking while balancing client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the VP/SVP/EVP. This position reports directly to the VP of Strategy. **Responsibilities** + Implement effective marketing strategies and lead all day-to-day aspects of planning across multiple campaigns, ensuring cultural relevance and resonance. + Develop planning objectives that align with and elevate the client’s marketing and business goals, with a focus on reaching diverse consumer segments (Hispanic, Black/African-American, Asian-American, LGBTQ+, etc.). + Act as the cross-team leader, integrating all aspects of media — including general market and multicultural — to define and execute campaigns holistically. + Establish and grow client relationships by demonstrating an understanding of industry and client business issues + Work with internal investment teams to gauge media performance and KPIs to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met + Follow detailed instructions and use established procedures to complete work in a detailed and complete manner, while bringing a cultural lens to media evaluations. + Supervise, train, and develop the skills of Assistants and Planners by managing workload, delegating responsibilities, checking work for cultural sensitivity and accuracy. + Provide job performance feedback to subordinates to manage career trajectory of the junior staff and make recommendations to management + Oversee the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functions + Responsible for managing projects and resources for all aspects impacting the client’s business + Mentor and guide direct reports to ensure proper education for advancement + Lead by example assisting in all levels of the planning and activation process + Effectively communicate across all levels and be willing to adopt new skills + Maintain detailed awareness of multicultural media landscape, including trends, challenges, and competition across all relevant cultural groups. + Exhibit strong knowledge of cross-channel media, with a curiosity and passion for the client’s business and an understanding of how cultural context influences media consumption. **Qualifications** + B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field + 3+ years of media planning + Agency experience highly preferred + Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Mediatools, Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI + Strong budget management skills with ability to step into the process to help junior team members + Ability to translate data into well-articulated and actionable ideas + Strong written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation + Minimal supervision, relies on experience/ judgment + Resource for others in resolution of complex problems/issues + Excellent management, motivational, organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills + Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment + Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently + Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions + Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants + Orient, train, assign and review the work of subordinates + Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues **Additional information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
