Job Description

AECOM are seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in construction supervision, to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and specifications for construction projectsConduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to approved plansCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issuesPerform structural calculations and analysis to verify the integrity of building componentsEnsure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standardsPrepare and review technical reports, including structural assessments and site visit reportsManage and coordinate with construction teams to maintain project schedules and quality standardsIdentify potential structural issues and develop appropriate solutionsParticipate in project meetings and provide expert advice on structural mattersStay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in structural engineering

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural EngineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certificationMinimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on construction supervision overseeing high rise or residential villas. Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction techniques, and materialsFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East
