Amazon is seeking an experienced and business oriented Sr. Program Mgr. in OEQI (Operations Engineering Quality Integraton) team to partner with the Global GES, RME and WWDE to define and deliver the high standards quality roadmap for the Operations Engineering team. Ideal candidates will have Engineering background combined with Engineering Program and/or Project Management experience. Candidates need to be familiar with all aspects of an Amazon Fulfillment Center while focusing on its automation technologies (conveyance, sortation, robotics) This role enables customer obsessed candidates to invent and think big by creating long term roadmaps and partnership with external teams. The Sr. Program manager will work with high level of autonomy while leading cross functional teams and interfacing with director level stakeholders and supplier leadership teams. The Sr. Program Manager will also act as SME Lead, leading 4 Ops Engineering PMs through their SME responsibility (approx. 20% of their workload), the 4 SMEs will amplify the impact of the Sr. Program manager responsible of defining their projects, goals and supporting them through the scoping and execution. Key job responsibilities The OEQI Sr. Program Manager PM responsibilities are: • Own the quality process and its adoption within an Ops. Engineering business line, becoming their technical POC and supporting site activities. • Lead Ops Engineering MBRs and QBRs targeting global GES and other teams leadership. Creating metrics centered White Papers enabling leaders to steer their organization into delivering world class quality systems. • Own strategic horizontal responsibilities such as Controls, Installation Quality and Metrics across all Business lines and Vendor accounts • Create and maintain closed loop improvement processes in collaboration with our customers, Operations and RME to ensure consistent remediation of technology or process failures. • Grow the organization capability, they are responsible of increasing the PMs capability • Build and maintain strategic partnership with project support teams which are partially dedicated to project delivery such as AWCS and RME. • Conduct regular milestones review meetings with SMEs and guiding them through their project execution. A day in the life You will work with autonomy, being the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for external teams and global GES teams while translating external and internal requests & opportunities into a 1-2 years masterplan. During your day to day you will conduct meetings with other teams (External / internal / other regions), proposing and evaluating the scalability and reapplication of different solutions. You will also be close to the Ops Eng. Execution team supporting them in the execution and treating them as your customers to simplify, automate and improve the quality of their day-to-day work to deliver state-of-the-art fulfillment center projects. In this role you will be part of the GES OEQI team (Operations Engineering Quality Integration), you will be constantly helped by the team, will respect and leverage diverse point of views and focus on inclusion of new members. Being an SME Lead and Intern manager are other opportunities for the role. Basic Qualifications Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or related discipline Proven Project/Program Management experience in comparable industrial environments Experience using MS Excel, CAD\BIM related software, MS Project Verbal and written communication skills in English language Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Controls & Automation engineering working experience Process & Quality improvement qualifications such as Six Sigma c)Project management qualifications such as APM Project execution experience in a construction environment (new build) or operational environment (buildout) e) Ability to lead internal teams to deliver cross-functional programs and manager vendor relations Knowledge about automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions Germany, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
