How you’ll make an impact:
• Perform a wide variety of tasks in support of Engineering services at the Edwards Packaging Test Lab.
• Support a wide range of engineering test activities under minimal supervision of Engineers; and may propose technical solutions
• Perform complex work using drawings, diagrams, written and verbal instructions to perform testing, and trouble-shooting functions.
• Operate a wider range of lab equipment including set-up and clean-up
• Perform operational test and identify failure modes on systems and equipment; may propose technical solutions.
• Collect and document test data with highest quality
• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period
• Other incidental duties as assigned by Management
What you’ll need (Required):
Associate's Degree or equivalent in or technical degree/certificate and 2 years’ experience. R&D Lab and/or medical device experience; or 4 years related experience Required
• Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Problem solving methodology, root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
• Good computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is required.
What else we look for (Preferred):
• Substantial understanding of test equipment and operating procedures in a lab environment
• Knowledge of regulated environment is a plus
• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting, assist with root cause analysis, resolve issues and make recommendations
• Ability to identify problems and relevant issues in straightforward and complex situations, assessing using standard procedures
• Ability to use a wide range of manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment; use tools such as measuring instruments
• Ability to read and understand procedures, drawings, schematics and carry out assembly instructions
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to lab and/or clean room medical device manufacturing
• Strict attention to detail and quality
• Identify opportunities for potential quality and efficiency improvements, including proposing new methodologies
• Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
• Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner
• Familiarity with the distribution simulation equipment and environmental chambers is a plus.
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $52,000 to $73,000 (highly experienced).
