Sr Manager, UbreakiFix Communications

Sr. Manager, Internal Communications: uBreakiFix by Asurion

Reporting to the Director, Operations Communications, this position supports the communications strategy for uBreakiFix by Asurion. This role works closely with company executives, leaders, and key stakeholders across the uBreakiFix and Asurion to craft and influence internal communications and change management strategies that cultivate our company culture and drive the business forward. Other major responsibilities include owning and executing the franchisee communications strategy; co-ownership of the annual uBreakiFix Summit event with the Director of Operations Communications; and working as a close advisor to the uBreakiFix senior leadership team.

The role is experienced in working with C-Suite leadership, is a creative problem-solver who can convert complex concepts on a variety of topics into easily understood text, deliver on tight-deadlines, is highly adaptable, has strong executive presence and can work in a fast-paced environment. They must be energetic, driven, collaborative, an excellent communicator, and have experience working with and influencing C-Suite leadership.

This role is based in Nashville, TN at Asurion’s Gulch Hub. Some travel will be required to help facilitate quarterly meetings, franchisee offsites, and annual events.

Responsibilities

· Serves as a strategic communications business partner to executive leadership across uBreakiFix and Customer Solutions.

· Develops and executes communications strategy for uBreakiFix, with the aim of helping to achieve the business goals of the functions. This is done while utilizing Asurion’s corporate brand, tone, and voice of leadership.

· Generates new ideas, balances the volume of communications, and ensures the right message is delivered at the right time to the right audience to drive engagement and understanding.

· Forges and maintains highly collaborative relationships with communications team and key internal business partners to ensure strategies and messages are aligned and coordinated.

· Translates complex written communication into concise and clear presentations.

· Develops SVP/executive presentations and talking points for townhalls, Franchise Advisory Council meetings, annual Kickoff meetings and other internal events.

· Ability to work with minimal direction, make independent decisions, set priorities, and preserve confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material.

· Tracks and measures communication effectiveness and adjusts tactics to ensure strong engagement and views.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Researching, writing, editing, and distributing written communications including emails, intranet content, presentations and executive talking points

· Ability to delegate and coach cross-functionally with communications partners outside of the direct team

· Developing and executing communications strategies, campaigns and plans in support of organizational/program level plans, activities, and accomplishments

· Establishing strong relationships with organizational and program leaders in order to guide and assist their communication planning and execution

· Collaborating with various communication partners to ensure informed and consistent messaging to the organization

· Planning, coordinating, and executing executive communication events

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree (Communications, Journalism or English, Public Affairs, Marketing Communications, Business Management, Industrial Design); Masters a plus

· Seven to ten years’ experience in communications or public relations preferred.  Extensive writing experience necessary. Corporate writing experience preferred

Franchise communications experience is a plus.
