Job Summary
Senior Engineer for software will be responsible for development of products and providing creative solutions associated with the design, development, and sustaining engineering for our new and existing software product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for developing medical device software for a product in “Medical Products and Therapies” business unit.Work with Software Development team, Software Product Owner, Scrum Master, Software Architect and Software Verification Leads to deliver high quality medical software to global market.Collaborate with Software Architect and Product Owner to transform requirements to implement high level design into low level detailed design and coding.Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, reliability, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.Drive technical excellence and quality improvements across the team.Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.Develop and ship high quality software products in Agile development.End-to-end documentation (Technical Design Documentation).Qualifications
Bachelor/Master of Engineering in the field of Computer Science.O4 to 8 years of experience with software programming.Good experience on Embedded SW design, development, test & integration, debugging techniques in Linux.Strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Design and Development, Design Patterns.Should be hands on and have strong knowledge of Advanced C++ programming.Firsthand experience with device software development using QT/QML framework.Firsthand experience in writing effective software unit test cases, static and dynamic code analysis.Experience in TDD (Test Driven Development) is a plus.Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.Knowledge of design patterns and practical applications.Medical Device Regulatory Standards awareness - 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485Knowledge of C++ and Serviceability domain will be an added advantage.Strong abstraction, analytical and critical thinking skills.Working experience in Agile/SAFe/Scrum/Iterative/V-model development methodologies.Effective communication and presentation skills.Ability to take ownership of team goals and deliver with quality and within required timeline.Experience with Figma and bridging tools to turn design concepts into functional products.Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative multinational environment.Reasonable Accommodations
