As the Device Packaging Experience (DPX) team’s Creative Operations Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our team's operational efficiency, balancing creative needs with business objectives. This position requires a unique blend of analytical thinking, resource planning, and operational expertise. You understand all the elements of the graphic design, production and printing process from end-to-end. You are the relationship manager between our creative resources and our stakeholders (Creative Program Management, Asset Management, Program Management, etc.) and external vendors, enabling our artists to produce bar-raising device packaging & publications that delights millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop resource forecasts aligned with product roadmap and program schedules
* Prioritize projects to meet deadlines while optimizing team workload distribution
* Track and analyze program metrics to guide design and production planning
* Collaborate with internal teams on peak season planning, including resource allocation and budget management
* Oversee quarterly department wide budget planning and submission process
* Analyze business processes and create resource models to determine staffing needs
* Own design studio operations including: scheduling team meetings, coordinating with facilities, maintaining studio and printer supplies
* Build and maintain relationships with global vendors, including training coordination and performance monitoring
* Coordinate press checks between internal teams and external partners, managing print sample archives
* Implement and optimize digital tools, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Program Management systems
* Establish and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
- Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)
- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
