**A DAY IN THE LIFE:**
We are seeking a skilled data engineer to join our team. As a Senior HR Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines into our Snowflake HR data warehouse, ensuring efficient, secure data movement and accessibility for analytical purposes.
**Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large datasets
+ Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable data solutions
+ Utilize strong programming skills in Python to write clean, maintainable, and optimized code for data processing tasks
+ Possess a deep understanding of SQL to manage and query data effectively at scale
+ Build and maintain integrations with RESTful and SOAP web services to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems
+ Implement and adhere to data security requirements to ensure sensitive HR data remains secure at all times and accessible only to those with approved access
+ Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
+ Champion best practices for data engineering and maintain a high standard of code documentation
+ Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and best practices to improve data engineering processes

**MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
+ 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of creating and implementing data pipelines
+ Proficiency in Python
+ Expertise with SQL scripting
+ Experience with Git for version control and deliverables management

**NICE TO HAVE: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or Data Bricks
+ Experience with ETL tools and concepts
+ Knowledge of Pycharm, SourceTree, SnowSQL, and PowerShell will be a plus
+ Understanding of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
+ Experience working with Human Resources systems and data
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to switch between assignments and work to deadlines
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and remote teams
+ Attention to detail and commitment to quality
