As we modernize our Payments APIs and build next-generation payout capabilities, we're seeking talented Software Development Engineers to design and implement multi-tier distributed software applications that will daily process billions in transactions worldwide. Key job responsibilities - Define, design, and implement scalable, multi-tier distributed software applications - Estimate effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet stringent requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability - Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams across the organization - Provide on-call support for mission-critical payment platform applications - Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and build processes Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
