Join Amazon's PayStation team to revolutionize our global payments architecture. As we modernize our Payments APIs and build next-generation payout capabilities, we're seeking talented Software Development Engineers to design and implement multi-tier distributed software applications that will daily process billions in transactions worldwide.
Your work will directly influence how Amazon processes payments for millions of sellers, vendors, and partners globally. You'll be instrumental in modernizing and scaling critical financial infrastructure that supports Amazon's worldwide operations and enables the next generation of payment capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement scalable, multi-tier distributed software applications
- Estimate effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet stringent requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams across the organization
- Provide on-call support for mission-critical payment platform applications
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and build processes
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
