Senior Service Calibration Technician
**Shift:** Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM -3:30 PM (flexible) **Location** : 6201 S Sprinkle Rd, Kalamazoo, MI **Summary:** The Senior Service Calibration Technician is responsible for managing and executing calibration activities for service-related instruments, tools, and fixtures. This includes coordinating with third-party vendors, maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and ensuring accurate and timely calibration of all assigned equipment. The technician will support day-to-day calibration operations, investigate out-of-tolerance conditions, and maintain critical documentation in support of audit readiness and operational excellence. **What You Will Do:** + Maintain and update the calibration database (e.g., Compucal) and manage internal/external calibration schedules. + Coordinate shipment and return of gages to third-party vendors and communicate status updates. + Review calibration certificates and test results; escalate out-of-tolerance findings as needed. + Document and manage non-conforming instruments using systems like TrackWise. + Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on calibration procedures, training, and improvements. + Generate and distribute weekly/monthly calibration reports, including past-due and upcoming items. + Approve and track calibration change requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. + Support audits and drive process improvements to enhance calibration efficiency and accuracy. **What You Need:** _Required:_ + High school diploma or equivalent + Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. + 3+ years of relevant experience + Familiarity with basic handheld gages (height stand, calipers, gage pins, micrometers, etc.) _Preferred:_ + Experience in a Calibration/Quality function or related technical field Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
