Job Description

AECOM's Construction Supervision practice is currently seeking a Senior Resident Engineer, for a large residential development. Reporting into the Director of Supervision, the Senior Resident Engineer will lead AECOM’s Construction Supervision scope of services and act as the client’s main point of contact advising on all engineering and contractual matters related to the project as per the contracted scope of work. 

Responsibilities: 

Leads the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned package (s).Supervise the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.Manage and direct the supervision team to undertake day to day inspections of the works. Maintain a very high level of Safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations.  Capable of administering the FIDIC based contractDiscuss changes to the scope of work with the Client and key subcontractors.Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the projectEstablishes Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and other documents in relation to our scopeEstablishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors site staff performancePlans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the project and the site teamAssigns responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertiseProvides input to performance reviews and develop plans for subordinatesWork with other managers, project engineers and discipline Heads to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of the projectMonitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project cost, schedule, performance or Client relationEstablishes internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action itemsPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateRepresent the company in Client meetings.Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and lead to address violations

 

 

 

QualificationsBachelor Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural etc.) and PMP, plus membership of a recognized professional institution preferred.

Experience

Minimum 15+ years of related construction supervision / management experience on Building projects, with the last five years in a senior technical position or leading a projectHigh-Rise Residential and Commercial buildings experience required with strong background in start-up, execution and handover of major projects within the UAE.
