Familiarity with optical communication systems and linear/nonlinear impairments Experience with standard industry design validation processes and product life cycle Strong English communication skills and people skills Guide the design and development of next-generation transponder/muxponder products within the Optical Engineering Team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HW, DSP, FW, SW) to enhance optics performance for client and line-side applications. Oversee full integration of line modules, ensuring performance optimization and rigorous quality assurance. Conduct design validation and testing to verify module functionality and system-level performance. Translate complex system requirements into detailed line module specifications in collaboration with peer engineering teams. Interface with vendors to source and procure optical components that meet stringent product specifications. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration within the team. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in coherent optical communication technology and design validation processes.
