JOB PURPOSE:
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our procurement capabilities and driving key strategic, global, and transversal programs that deliver value across the organization. Leading a diverse team of 4 FTEs based in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, you will help shape and elevate our procurement function.
The mission of this team is 2-fold:
People Development: the 1st building block focuses on People, aiming to enhance the skills and capabilities of our Procurement organization, and make our People best-in-class & digitally savvy procurement experts. This includes advancing expertise in core areas such as strategic sourcing, negotiations, and effective communication. Additionally, the team will prioritize other foundational aspects like talent development, fostering a strong and inclusive culture, leadership growth, and early talent acquisition.
Program Management Office: the 2nd building block is a lean PMO comprised of team members based in the Regions alongside the BU Procurement teams and the Category Managers . This team serves as the single point of contact (SPOC) and strategic partner for the Regions and Categories, with two key objectives: understanding and capturing the needs of the Procurement Teams (Categories and Operations) and providing valuable inputs to the Central Strategy & Insight Team for the development and roll-out of new tools, trainings, ways of working or programs. driving the deployment of global / cross-functional Programs such as Value Creation (incl. ideation workshops), Sustainability, Supplier Quality, SRM, Suppliers Risk Assessment & Material Supply Resilience…etc
The Capabilities & Program team will be a channel - a two-way street - between the SI&E central teams and the other Procurement Teams.
People in the team will be double-hatted as follows:
Geographic partner for closer connection with rest of Procurement Team and Regional Stakeholders
Program Manager for one or 2 prioritized transversal and global Programs (cross-regions, cross-category)
By fostering innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and best practices, the team will ensure that TMICC Procurement operates as a key enabler of value creation and competitive advantage for the business.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
In a nutshell: Managing stakeholders, supporting change management, conducting root cause analysis for problem resolution, managing KPIs, and developing standardized operational routines.
Lead and steer the procurement capabilities team with know-how, vision and clear goal setting
Together with the Head of Procurement Strategy, Insights & Excellence you formulate a marching route for the short and midterm of the team and organization
Owning and initiating capability programs and executing them at the right moments within the development of the organization
Owning the budgets allocated to your team
Creating visibility on the impact of the capability programs launched by your team
EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE/THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR
Master's degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or Engineering
About 10 years of experience in FMCG Procurement (Category and / or Operations) in order to be a strong partner for the rest of the Procurement Team
People management of a far-flung team (motivation, trust, empowerment ...)
Strong business acumen with strategic and end-to-end approach
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale procurement projects and cross-functional teams.
Strong Stakeholders Management skills to drive transversal cross-regional programs
Strong Change Management skills and Project Management experience
Strong drive. Willing to go the extra-mile, challenge the status quo and drive simplification for more efficiencies.
Bring the “outside in” mindset, share industry best practices and future trends in Procurement transformation.
SKILLS:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in procurement and supply chain management software, ERP systems.
