Role Overview:

The SAP Testing Automation and Tools Lead (Sr. Manager) is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and management of software testing tools within the Enterprise IT organization, with a strong focus on SAP applications. This role blends technical expertise, project management, and communication skills to drive quality and efficiency across the software development lifecycle. Acting as the primary liaison with the central quality engineering team, the lead ensures alignment with testing standards and tool strategies, with a focus on automation. In addition to managing toolsets, the role involves hands-on work in both manual and automated testing, emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and the delivery of reliable, high-quality enterprise software solutions.

What will you do in this role:

Identify and evaluate testing tools based on project requirements and organizational needs.

Lead the implementation of new testing tools, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems and processes.

Mentor and coach a team of testers and SAP Test engineers, providing guidance and support.

Organize training sessions for team members to ensure they are proficient in using testing tools.

Assess current testing processes and tools, identifying areas for improvement.

Ensure continuous improvement and compliance by regularly reviewing, updating, and training on applicable testing SOPs and best practices for effective testing.

Oversee the maintenance and technical support of testing tools, ensuring they are up-to-date.

Implement and optimize test automation frameworks, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline for enhanced efficiency.

Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure the testing team remains at the forefront of technology.

 What Should you have:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

5+ years of experience in SAP testing, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment, quality assurance, or related fields.

Proven knowledge of SDLC in the pharmaceutical industry required.

Proven experience with various SAP modules (like SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.) and their functionalities is required. Prior experience with S/4 HANA would be advantageous.

Involvement in SAP implementation or upgrade projects, particularly in testing roles is required.

Proven experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Jira XRAY, TOSCA, HP ALM, Load Runner, LiveCompare Analytics) required.

Proven experience in various testing methodologies such as Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Performance Testing, and Load Testing.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Ability to analyze complex technical problems and devise effective solutions.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience in implementing service virtualization techniques to simulate service dependencies for efficient testing in complex environments, enhancing the reliability of development and testing processes.

Experience in designing and executing always-on testing strategies, ensuring continuous integration and delivery practices are maintained, and enabling real-time feedback on application performance and quality.
