Senior Manager, Footwear Production Operations

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Footwear Production Operations to oversee the end-to-end production process, from Comm to mass manufacturing. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and strong vendor/factory relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in footwear production, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of factory operations and supply chain logistics.
This role will be based in Hanoi, Vietnam, and will require extensive travel to vendor locations across northern and southern Vietnam, as well as Cambodia. Candidate will be an industry SME with extensive knowledge of Vietnan and Cambodian footwear manufacturing, a person able to operate within a group or on their own – a driver of quality first mindset and modern manufacturing processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee the entire footwear production process From T4 to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
+ Manage relationships with domestic and international factories and vendors, ensuring capacity planning and compliance.
+ Collaborate closely with design, development, sourcing, Costing & quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution of product plans – use speak up voice to ensure new designs are fit for mass production.
+ Monitor production schedules and workflows (core KPIs) addressing delays and resolving issues proactively.
+ Ensure adherence to cost targets without compromising quality or design integrity.
+ Analyze production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Lead and mentor a team of production operations associates, providing guidance and performance management.
+ Conduct regular on-site factory visits throughout Vietnam and Cambodia to monitor production, quality standards meet or exceed brand needs.
+ Ownership of vendor VPM (Vendor Performance Management) and CAPs to ensure continued improvement.
+ Partner with VF Quality Management to trouble-shoot chargebacks and create CAPs.
+ Stay informed of industry trends, material innovations, and manufacturing best practices.
+ Own corporate goals relating to production enviroment and ensure delivery of expectations within the set time frame(s).
+ SME in the field of footwear production in the countries responsible, able to provide high level overview of what is working / not working within sourcing locations, be able to share perspective of competitors approaches within these zones.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. MBA is a plus.
+ Minimum 7–10 years of experience in footwear production, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
+ Deep understanding of footwear manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods.
+ Have strong knowledge of footwear processes and constructions, vulcanized, cold cement, strobel, lasted, Direct Attach, Direct Injection.
+ Experience working with overseas factories, particularly in Asia (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, etc.).
+ Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM systems, and production planning tools.
+ Fluent in English (written and Verbal) additional languages (Vietnamese, Khmer, Mandarin) are a plus.
+ Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
