ADP is seeking an experienced attorney to join the ADP Global Payroll Legal team. The team focuses on general legal support and business-unit-specific compliance matters for ADP’s Global Payroll business, a scalable global payroll solution delivered through innovative technology-enabled services across multiple countries. Specially designed to meet the needs of multinational companies, our solution helps clients simplify global payroll, increase compliance, and generate new HR insights to make better decisions.
The successful candidate will have a strong business orientation and be responsible for collaborating across multiple ADP business units. The Senior Counsel interfaces with all levels of the business and corporate management and advises on day-to-day legal issues affecting ADP Global Payroll, providing legal guidance on clients’ claims and escalations, as well as product compliance matters, data privacy, AI initiatives, and relationships with subcontractors, partners and other key stakeholders. The Senior Counsel is involved in the launch of new products and initiatives and acts as a strategic advisor with a focus on aligning legal strategies with the organization’s long-term goals. The position requires a proactive approach to managing legal risks and supporting strategic business objectives. The Senior Counsel ensures in each instance that the projects, processes, and matters he/she works on are in the best interest of ADP, and accurately reflect ADP's policies and business practices. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day legal support to ADP Global Payroll. Advise and support the relevant Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on legal matters related to product initiatives and compliance. Assist in managing relationships with subcontractors and key partners of the Business Unit, providing legal guidance and support as needed. Participate in new initiatives and special projects relevant to the Business Unit, offering legal expertise to facilitate successful outcomes. Review and advise on marketing materials, training documents, and other communications to ensure compliance with legal standards. Develop and review internal processes as necessary. Support and train internal stakeholders on matters relevant to the Business Unit. Engage in M&A projects, providing legal insights and support to the Corporate M&A team during acquisitions or dispositions involving ADP Global Payroll. Support the development and implementation of AI initiatives as requested, ensuring adherence to relevant legal frameworks. Support members of the ADP Global Contracts Teams on complex global customer contracts with existing and prospective multinational customers. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications Required:
Education: Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited law school. Experience: Minimum 8 years in corporate law (law firm or in-house counsel) with a focus on contracts, product compliance, and data privacy. Language Skills: Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages preferred. Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of outsourcing arrangements, technology contracts, business law, and data privacy laws in the EU and other major markets; Experience with AI-related legal issues is helpful. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with attention to detail. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, external lawyers, and business associates, in a matrix ecosystem. Project Management: Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.#LI-MS1
