**Job Description**
The ITS/Traffic Department at AECOM is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and self-motivated **Senior ITS Asset Management Technician** to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
In this role, you will support a variety of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic signal projects, focusing on asset inventory, maintenance, and management of ITS devices, traffic signal systems, communication networks, and operations centers.
You’ll contribute to innovative projects that leverage the latest technologies to enhance surface street transportation. As part of our dynamic and technically advanced team of engineers and technicians, you’ll help deliver exceptional ITS and traffic solutions to our clients.
This is a Part-Time Variable position.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as Task Manager and Subject Matter Expert on different assignments as appropriate, with specific focus on ITS communications infrastructure asset management.
+ Effectively manage individual and team tasks, coordinating with client, AECOM, and partner members including engineers, planners, and technicians.
+ Work on projects with traffic signals, communication networks, physical infrastructure, logical operations, plans and specifications, construction management, materials specifications review, connected/automated vehicle systems, transportation data science, and data and operations center facilities.
+ Perform and manage GPS mapping, inventory, encoding, and audit/QA/QC of ITS and traffic signal OSP infrastructure
+ Develop and maintain complex infrastructure documents, diagrams, and audits
+ Support development and deployment of standard operating procedures, data guidelines, and asset management process workflows
+ Work on, provide technical and quality review, and/or support construction inspection and material submittal reviews for projects with traffic signal and ITS components and communications networks.
+ Effectively manage assigned projects/tasks and be in responsible charge of task activities and schedule
+ Mentor/train junior staff
+ Periodic travel required within Georgia and neighboring states
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
+ BA/BS and 4 years of technical ITS and telecommunications design, construction, operations, maintenance, and asset management of DOT outside plant communications infrastructure or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
**Preferred:**
+ 10 years of ITS or technical ITS and telecommunications design, construction, operations, maintenance, and asset management of DOT outside plant communications infrastructure.
+ Experience with the Georgia DOT Fiber Asset Management System (FAMS) NexusWorx
+ Experience with the Florida DOT ITS Fiber Management System (ITSFM) NexusWorx
+ Experience with Georgia and municipal DOT traffic signal and ITS infrastructure

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $45.00/hour - $57.00/hour.
