PEMA Overview
 

Our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) practice draws from Marsh’s in-depth global knowledge to deliver specialist services to the private equity, infrastructure, and alternative asset industry as well as to corporate buyers. We work with clients over the lifecycle of investments, advising on risks and insurance matters from to acquisition to exit, including placing portfolio level insurance solutions. Our global practice consists of more than 150 professionals based worldwide.

In this position, you will be responsible for driving Marsh’s PEMA business within Marsh and externally. This will be done by leading insurance due diligence engagements for private equity, corporate, and financial institution clients, and coordinating the services of various Marsh practices to bring the best of Marsh to our clients.

You will utilize your insurance expertise to advise clients contemplating acquisitions, divestments. PPPs and project financing activities.



We will count on you to:
 

Contribute to the growth of the Marsh brand within the Australian and New Zealand marketPrepare and deliver due diligence reportsCoordinate services provided by other practices within MarshMentor and coach junior staff membersAct as a liaison to overseas PEMA professionals across the globeDevelop and nurture relationships with private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions with an aim of leveraging these into future business opportunitiesRespond to RFPsProvide active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditionsLiaise with internal Marsh practices to implement insurance placements.



What you need to have: 

Experience in insurance broking and account management for corporate and/or global accountsPrior experience in a Due Diligence role, or demonstrated experience with clients considering M&A in an insurance broking context, FSRA Tier 1 complianceHighly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong relationship-building skillsStrong data analysis, research, report writing and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
