A Markets Ops Sr Analyst is a challenging role that oversees the accuracy of produced information impacting Settlement, Booking & Financial Statements and Regulatory reporting affairs while taking conscious care of a clean delivery to customers.
This position will ensure the accuracy and timeliness agreed in the transaction processing in alignment with Global & Corporate policies, Local Regulatory requirements, and control environment. Through that, the role supports the stabilization and alignment of critical Markets Products and Operating Model, to foster strategic transformation opportunities, including centralization of additional countries and activities management.
The Markets Ops Sr Analyst faces day-to-day challenges by work is close partnership with multiple stakeholders from 1st and 2nd lines of defense, boosting the principal of continued improvement of accuracy and relevance of outcomes. As a team lead, the role promotes the identification of areas of opportunity in operating workflows and the subsequent implementation of process improvements, service or technology enhancements aimed to accomplish operating risk mitigation aligned with policy and regulations’ requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Executing and support the strategy defined by Markets LATAM Operations Management in any present needs related to Control, Risk, BAU, Projects & Initiatives, follow ups and implementation.
+ Handling operational flaws by the thorough identification of root causes, quick engagement with process actor to get to efficient definition of action plans and mitigation of operational risks.
+ Works in close partnership with the Business Heads and Markets Ops, CSC Heads to ensure all local Markets processes are identified, controls are properly implemented, duly assessed, and monitored and control gaps are rapidly identified, escalated and timely solved.
+ Providing support, education and training to staff aimed to build risk, control, and efficiency awareness within Markets ops
+ Helping the team to build solid career development plans, training paths aligned with staff needs and promoting a healthy work environment framed by collaborative spaces and teamwork.
+ Having a mindful view of escalation topics and maintaining proactive communication with Senior Management through periodic updates on tasks progress and identified or potential issues.
+ Ensure the required documentation for every single process supported by Markets Operations LATAM (Purchase/ Sales of securities, derivatives and FX).
+ Keep documented the 100% of the operational process in the operational bulletins of the area, manuals, control matrix and contingency plans.
+ Handling risk escalations from junior staff and providing guidance and support.
+ Applying solid understanding of risk/control and efficiency management standards, and correct interpretation of policies' purpose, as a seasoned professional.
+ Implementing procedures and controls of the local and regional processing based on compliance standards and policy objectives.
+ Remains up to date with all policies and new regulations impacting the Markets business and support the implementation in a timely and proper manner
+ Assisting in the management of all activities related to external/internal audits and reviews affecting plan vanilla markets products.
+ Periodically reviewing and updating the quality and service indicators to come up with actions aimed to improve such indicators on a continuous basis.
+ Identifying and implementing process improvements, service enhancements, or technology enhancements.
+ Ensuring that all transactions are being settled, booked, and delivered to customer on a daily basis as agreed upon in SLAs.
+ Ensuring the local regulatory reports are produced with high quality, according with scheduled timeframes and sent to regulators or stakeholders in a timely manner.
**Qualifications:**
+ 3-5 years of experience
+ Demonstrate strong business knowledge including the understanding of core businesses, supporting processes and operations.
+ Working knowledge of call center Technologies including systems, technologies and system work practices..
+ Previous customer service management experience within a call center setting.
+ Tertiary qualifications desirable.
+ Outstanding problem-solver, Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
+ Demonstrated comprehension of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
+ Speak and write English fluently
