Job Description

The Senior Finance Analyst - ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Financial Reporting is an important part of the team that serves as our experts in consolidated U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting and that helps solve global accounting issues. You will also be an important resource for governance around regulated ESG reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst has a high level of visibility to finance leadership and works with peers and senior leadership in headquarters, business, regional, and functional organizations and with internal and external auditors. The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the ESG and Financial Reporting Controller and works with other members of the Global Finance Organization.

Your Responsibilities:

External Financial Reporting:

Prepare portions of quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) reports filed with the Securities and Exchange CommissionAssist Investor Relations with preparation of quarterly earnings release documentsRespond to inquiries from internal and external auditors during the quarterly review and annual audit process

Monthly accounting and reporting:

Prepare sections of the monthly financial reporting package, including the statement of cash flows, balance sheet, earnings per share, and sales by destination report, which are distributed to senior managementAnalyze information submitted by departments and locations and ask questions to ensure completeness and accuracy

ESG Reporting:

Engage with sustainability team, steering committees, and working groups to report accurate progress toward public sustainability goals and measurementsCollaborate with the sustainability team regarding processes, procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliant internal controls including development and oversight of auditable ESG metrics being disclosed that require assuranceConduct ongoing benchmarking of ESG and sustainability disclosures relative to our peers, other corporate ESG and sustainability leaders, industry trends, and best practices

Other:

Research complex accounting issues, including assisting with ad-hoc technical accounting questions from different global finance personnel, and prepare technical memosAccount for areas within the Financial Reporting team which could include goodwill and intangible assets, business combinations, and share-based compensationResearch and implementation of new accounting standardsPromote finance process improvementsComplete special projects and analyses as requested by management

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experienceCPABig 4 public accounting firm experience and exposure to global industrial companies preferredExposure to U.S. GAAP accounting standards and researchWorking knowledge of SAP, Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, and Workiva WdeskExperience managing multiple short-range and long-range tasksWillingness to challenge the status quo to enhance productivity and processes
