As a result of our consistent growth in this specific consulting space, we plan to expand our EU Team and are currently looking for a Senior Consultant with a background in economics, preferably related to EU policy and regulation in transport (with emphasis on the aviation and rail transport sectors).
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in economic analysis, rail transport systems (including the regulatory environment) and the aviation sector (air traffic management). You will contribute to the delivery of complex consultancy projects, perform economic analysis for highly policy relevant topics, and provide strategic insights.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will work in a team of professionals dedicated to providing qualified expert support to the EU Institutions in the sectors of aviation and rail transport; You will contribute to the management of key engagements involving multidisciplinary teams, working directly with clients and stakeholders (including working-level meetings, workshops, stakeholder consultation meetings); You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality research, quantitative analyses in the field of economic regulation, market analysis, cost-benefit analyses, impact assessment and other consulting assignments for the EU Institutions; You will support in the contractual management of projects awarded to EY, in compliance with internal procedures/policies; You will contribute to business development activities and to the preparation of EU tenders. You will plan and review delivery of junior colleagues (including workbooks, models and reports); You will identify new opportunities, suitable EY value proposition, and will prepare level A methodology proposals for our clients.
Your Profile
You have:
Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Transport, or related discipline; Knowledge of micro and macroeconomics, industrial organisation, economic regulation and (regulatory) accounting. Knowledge of quantitative research and analysis methodologies; At least 2-3 years of professional experience (preferably in the aviation and rail transport sectors) in the following areas: Economic regulation of network industries and/or competition economics; EU law with focus on regulation of network industries and/or competition law; Aviation policy (ATM) covering the fields of safety, capacity and environment; Single European Sky performance and charging scheme. Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines; Excellent knowledge of English with good drafting and editorial skills
