Senior Associate - Senior Talent Strategy Consultant I
We will count on you to:
Provide advice to a wide range of clients, helping them to develop the HR programs, talent practices, performance management processes, and organizational designs that motivate and empower leaders and employees to deliver their best work. Brainstorm and determine analytic approach and appropriate project plan for prospects and clients across job architecture, broad-based compensation, and other projects. Interpret client data and market data to determine “the story” outlined to the client – determine client implications as it relates to data. Provide oversight and guidance to more junior colleagues in the design and development of solutions such as job architecture design, compensation benchmarking, and salary structure design. Plan and manage execution of large, complex projects, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and making choices on what the deliverables are depending on the findings of the analysis. Independently lead in structuring and reviewing client-ready presentations/reports. Answer client questions regarding Mercer project methodology. Independently facilitate client meetings and act as a trusted advisor to clients. Delegate assignment to junior level colleagues and review output for alignment with project needs.
What you need to have:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Psychology, Human Resources, Statistics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a related position. Three (3) years of experience must include: Designing and implementing job architectures (including job tracks, job levels, job families, job sub-families) based on market data and quantitative analysis of client data; Building client-ready deliverables and reports on rewards and talent strategy and framework in Excel and PowerPoint to provide data insights and resulting recommendations; Building and reviewing variance analysis models for competitive benchmarking of compensation data in Excel; Designing salary structures and building impact/penetration analysis in Excel; Employing project management tools including Excel, Microsoft Project, Coda, and/or Teams Planner to manage workflow effectively; Peer reviewing and overseeing analysis conducted by junior analysts; Explaining results of analysis, industry best practices, and recommendations on rewards and talent strategy and framework to clients.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $132,500 - $207,000 per year.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
