Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment - Infrastructure to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this critical site based role you will be responsible for driving safety, health, and environmental excellence across our project, ensuring compliance with local and international standards while promoting sustainable practices.

Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety, health, and environmental (SHE) strategies for infrastructure projectConduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure the safety of personnel and minimize environmental impactLead the development and implementation of SHE policies, procedures, and best practicesProvide expert advice and guidance to project teams on SHE matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standardsAnalyze SHE performance data and prepare detailed reports for senior managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHE considerations into project planning and executionConduct regular site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to SHE protocolsDevelop and deliver SHE training programs to enhance awareness and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibilityStay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the SHE field, particularly within the infrastructure sectorRepresent the organization in industry forums and engage with regulatory bodies on SHE matters

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master's) preferredMinimum of 12 years of experience in safety, health, and environment roles within the infrastructure sectorProven track record of developing and implementing effective SHE policies and proceduresDemonstrated success in improving safety performance and environmental sustainability metricsIn-depth knowledge of local and international SHE regulations and standards applicable to the infrastructure industryStrong understanding of sustainability practices in infrastructure developmentProficiency in safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and environmental impact analysisExcellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAdvanced data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsOutstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsRelevant professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)Familiarity with the UAE's regulatory environment and cultural context is highly desirable
