Business Development sales manager EF educational tours Panama EF Educational Tours is looking for an entrepreneurial manager to lead a team of Business Development Representatives focusing on contacting and qualifying educators who are interested in building international educational travel programs within schools in the United States. This would be a full-time position in our beautiful EF Panama Office. As Sales Manager, you will both inspire and motivate your team—focusing on helping them craft their sales skills, execute on activity, and help facilitate their professional development. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Sales to execute a strategy of finding schools that have never traveled with EF and beginning travel programs. This will include inspiring your team to drive high outbound activity through phone, text and email to contact US educators and qualify them and/or others in their school to gain commitment to starting a travel program before passing the customer to a US based Tour Consultant. Performance Objectives: Hiring, managing, and developing Business Development Representatives. A Sales Manager will engage in hiring top talent and developing them into innovative sales professionals who can generate and qualify leads that will end in healthy business. The Sales Manager will ensure Business Development Representative’s success through coaching and developing their sales skill set and other fundamentals of the role resulting in meeting or exceeding goals. Driving sales activity. A Sales Manager will learn, understand and adapt sales activity and operational strategies to ensure qualified leads are being passed to our US colleagues. The Sales Manager will collaborate with the Sales and Business Leadership to understand the strategy and activity to execute and drive qualified leads for each region. Core Responsibilities: Weekly one-on-ones with Business Development Representatives to help them learn to dissect the qualitative and quantitative metrics needed to meet KPIs and develop as sales professionals. Coaching on time management, results management, and how to use dashboards Meet regularly with the Sr Director of Sales, Business Leaders, and Sales Training to ensure a collaborative effort to develop staff and drive the business forward Meet with the Sr Leadership to better understand your strengths and areas of opportunity as a coach and leader Drive initiatives specific to market and team growth Your Demonstrated Abilities… A minimum of 2+ years of sales leadership experience with a record of developing staff to achieve sales success and goal achievement Proven track record of motivating the performance of others and playing a lead role on the team (leading team meetings, partnering with manager on team strategy, sales coaching, etc.) Success in building and executing on business development activity models Strong analytical skills and ability to motivate behaviors Proven track record of creating a psychologically safe environment of high-performers Proven success with difficult conversations and delivering constructive feedback Excellent relationship building skills both internally and externally Adaptability in a consistently changing environment Why you’ll love working here:
