Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Safety Specialist Weekender to join their team. As a Safety Specialist Weekender, you will be part of the safety department supporting various infrastructural projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen sense of organization which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Safety Specialist
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay Range: $27. - $34.50
Hours: First 2 weeks 7-3 for training
Then will move to Wednesday/Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday/Saturday 7am/7pm
When there is no work on Saturday his schedule will be Monday to Friday 10-am-6pm.
What's the Job?
Ensure the job site is following all safety regulations. Identify risks on the job site and create safety protocols based on those risks. Conduct safety inspections throughout the infrastructural projects. Provide training to contractors and conduct safety meetings. Document and report safety incidents and concerns.What's Needed?
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred. OSHA 30 & 500 Certification required. 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Construction required. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA standards. Bilingual preferred.What's in it for me?
