Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer - Infrastructure to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects division, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and contract documentsMonitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on work force, equipment, safety, and overall project statusConduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality control standardsCoordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are metReview and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change ordersManage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environmentOversee soil and materials testing according to contract specifications and local regulationsEvaluate and process progress payments, variation orders, and time extension requestsImplement and monitor site safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local and international standardsPrepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing project progress, challenges, and solutionsCollaborate with project managers to develop and implement strategies for improving project efficiency and cost-effectiveness

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional certificationMinimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projectsProven track record in overseeing complex infrastructure projects, including bridges and underpassesStrong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction methodologies, and quality control processesFamiliarity with UAE construction standards, regulations, and local building codesExcellent project management skills, including budget and schedule managementAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilitiesStrong technical report writing and communication skillsProficiency in project management software and CAD applicationsExperience working on infrastructure projects in the Middle EastAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needsExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
