Regional Account Manager

Location: Denver, USA (Remote+ 60% travel)

Act as a liaison and sales enabler between Asurion and a wireless carrier’s sales channel, focused on growth areas within the carrier-owned retail.  This position will be responsible for driving point of sale performance growth through leadership engagement, deployment of sales strategy playbook, influencing sales growth through performance management discussions, and accelerating point of sales performance through field training & leadership coaching.  This position will also work with internal Client Service team members and other internal cross-functional areas to identify growth opportunities and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Relationship building and developmentDevelop strong consultative relationships (up to channel senior leadership level) to influence sales strategy, performance targeting, and front-line engagementNavigate the channel organization to identify key influencers and develop a strong promoter networkIntegrate into channel leadership meetings, staff calls, and performance readouts to drive advocacy and performance managementCultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional groups (e.g., Marketing, Comm, L&D, and Operations) to roll out channel communications, training sessions, and channel support resourcesPlaybook deploymentInstilling, shaping, deploying, and supporting specific initiatives and tactics to drive sales and growthPartners with the client’s leadership team on developing and executing channel strategy that aligns with Asurion’s KPIsCultivate Champions program to build a network of high-performing advocates leveraging a certification program, support resources, and best practice callsCollaborate with the Asurion Marketing team to develop a marketing strategy with channel-specific tools and training resourcesPoint of Sale strategic developmentAssess gaps in the current sales process and develop effective point-of-sale growth strategies to accelerate performanceEngage with top performers to isolate key best practices & identify correlations in effective sales behavior; then document and codify such best practices and ensure they are disseminated and adopted across all channelsDevelop dynamic training programs aimed at ensuring sales reps (1) know and master product and the critical selling points of the pitch, (2) can identify cues and tee up customer conversations that will pave the way to offering Device Protection, (3) routinely offer the product in a combined recommended offer with Mobility & Home InternetPerformance dialogEngage with Sales Leaders and local management to assess performance and adjust the action plan accordinglyDevelop and execute a leadership communication strategy highlighting high opportunity areas of growth and performance trends to accelerate sales performanceField Sales Training SupportIdentify and engage high opportunity areas of the carrier-owned retail channel to drive incremental growthExecute in-store & virtual training curriculum with store leadership, champions, and sales representativesPromote awareness and utilization of key channel support resourcesEstablish a continuing education program for high opportunity accounts focusing on program knowledge, point of sales framework, and best practices

Candidate Profile

Experience/Expertise

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales/Client Management related role. Field experience strongly preferredWireless retail experience strongly preferred. Related areas such as consumer electronics, warranty products, etc. also relevant

Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiativeProven ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders and cross-functional groups internally, within the company, the customer, and the clientContact management, time management, and strong organizational skillsPresentation skills to small and large groups, across all levelsProblem solving, negotiation, and analytical skillsIntermediate level abilities in Microsoft Office Suite and other client-related applications.

Qualifications
