Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our quality-focused team in a hands-on lab-based role. This position involves a mix of sampling, testing, and inspection work in a cleanroom and lab environment. Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication skills, a passion for science, and a desire to contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused operation. Responsibilities Include: 

Sampling and Testing of Compressed Gas SystemsSampling and testing of compressed gas tankersWorking in a cleanroom environment, dispensing raw materials, and performing inspections of containersReceiving, handling, and disposing of samplesCalibrates or verifies the calibration of instruments/devices before use.Accurately records test results and reports any quality anomaliesMaintains laboratory supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping as assignedEnsures excellent customer service to clientsParticipates in required training activitiesComplies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirementsPotential cross-training opportunities with testing, including pH, Conductivity, Nitrate identification, Total Organic Carbon, and Appearance

This position is an indoor lab-based position, working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed before entryNails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details: 

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
