What you will do-
You will develop and implement production plans to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards. You will use business needs and knowledge of operations capabilities to produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products. This is an onsite role. The employee will work onsite at the Kalamazoo, Michigan location.
Monitor production activity and analyze production data so that the flow of materials is timed meet production requirements
Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, and material or labor shortages
Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules
Ensure safety stock levels are met for various inventory pools by analyzing trends and adjusting plans
Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and calculate machine and operator loads
Communicate with customers around lead time, backorder, and inventory issues
Identify and own CI projects to improve daily planning processes and inventory management.
Support systems enhancements to improve planning process
What you need-
Bachelor's degree - required
Microsoft Excel experience - required
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.) - preferred
