You help manufacturing line leaders deliver on Mondelēz International’s safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets to ensure processes run smoothly by coaching line teams and using tools to eliminate losses, troubleshoot line problems and improve systems.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in helping us change how the world snacks. You will work closely with line leaders to ensure that Mondelēz International meets our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets on our manufacturing lines to ensure processes run smoothly. Most of your time will be spent working independently on the manufacturing floor, identifying and fixing problems, improving systems, and being responsible for your equipment, but you will also be responsible for statistical processing control and will lead small-group activities to build line team capabilities to eliminate losses.

More about this role 

  

What you need to know about this position: Responsible for planning, directing, leading and facilitating lean manufacturing and loss elimination activities throughout the Organisation. He/she works with leadership and employees to achieve empowerment, elimination of loss and performance improvement (safety, quality, service, and cost.) Participate in operational planning to maximize company profits and will be the lead person responsible for implementing lean programs and continuous improvement processes. The Process Engineer has an innate curiosity and an ability to identify problems using data and observation, determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions. The individual employs a logical approach, is driven and accountable, and understands the value of bringing science and engineering to manufacturing.  

 What extra ingredients you will bring:  

A keen interest on performance/process improvement (speed increase, waste reduction, loss reduction, labour reduction).  

Ability to train, coach, and develop Core Teams, to deliver productivity and performance improvement. 

Ensure teams understand key performance metrics (unsafe behaviours, GE, downtime, stops, scrap, and consumer complaints) and how to access data. 

Lead & coach core teams to identify & analyze opportunities and develop solutions and control plans; use lean (5 whys, VSM), six sigma (Pareto, C&E, FMEA) and focused improvement (bottleneck analysis, driver trees) methodology. 

Analytical skill to conduct Root Cause Analysis to understand losses/issues from the source. 

 Education / Certifications: Engineering degree (Bachelors/Masters) in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Chemical Engineering/Data Analytics/Data Science 

 Job specific requirements: 

2/3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (CPG/FMCG/Food Industry) 

Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)/Integrated Lean 6 Sigma/ IWS (Integrated Work System) is preferred. 

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. 

Ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel. 

Strong computer skills (Advanced Microsoft Excel, SAP, Teams, Outlook) 

This position requires 100% on-site presence, no work-from-home options available 

 Work schedule: Monday to Friday, starting from 7 AM. Flexible to support team during weekend shifts/off hours in person/via phone if required.
