Oracle's CGIU Enterprise Communications Platform engineering team needs a strong Cloud DevOps engineer to help support the development team in their DevOps life cycle by leveraging the benefits of cloud computing while minimizing the risks and costs associated with cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps, and best practices to help the team achieve business goals and stay ahead of the competition.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated build, deployment, and testing systems.Lead efforts to optimize the build and deployment processes for high-volume, high availability systems.Monitor production systems to ensure high availability and performance, and proactively identify and resolve issues.Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD.Continuously improve the scalability and security of our systems, and lead efforts to implement standard methodologies.Participate in the design and implementation of new features and applications and provide guidance on standard processes for deployment and operations.Work with security team to ensure compliance with industry and company standards and implement security measures to protect against threats.Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in DevOps and make recommendations for improvement.Lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers and collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Mandatory Skills:

7+ years as a DevOps EngineerBachelor’s degree in engineering / Computer Science spanning 4 years.Java/Python programming, working experience with AWS or any public Cloud, Terraform.Experience with Cloud / Virtualization concepts and tools (AWS, Azure, or OCI)GitLab CI or JenkinsContainerization, Docker, KubernetesTroubleshooting within Kubernetes environment during deployments.Bash / Python scriptingREST APIsStrong background on LinuxExperience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Thorough understanding of DevOps culture and Agile Methodology.
