Payroll Co-Ordinator - GB/IE

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a payroll administrator you are responsible for general payroll processing and administration. & Ensures compliance with statutory legislation and regulations, internal control standards and the established Company processing guidelines.

As a leader within the function, demonstrating behaviours that support the team leadership and the company culture:

Leading by example and actively demonstrating and living H&M values, encouraging the team to do the same.Managing the Payroll Administrator team, providing advise and guidance and encouraging continuous improvement and a solution-focused way of working.Coordinate investigations and various ad-hoc queries when neededEnsure all key payroll & internal controls are performed accurately and documented where necessaryLiaising with the Payroll Supervisor to keep them up to date on payroll status

Payroll Processing 2W & Monthly:

Organising Payroll Administrator team to secure quality, accuracy and deadlines.Ensuring all checks and controls are in place on regular basisCarrying out tasks allocated to you as per new process SAP / Zalaris.Dealing with payroll queries in an efficient way, ensuring a great customer experienceReporting any concerns in T&A to Payroll Supervisor & relevant systems supervisorsCalculating correct pay and notify employee requesting return of same, using standard template letters.Liaising with employee to discuss payments and queries.Ongoing maintenance of records

General administration:

General office organisationKeeping process notes and local work instructions up to dateFilingOther administration as required

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

​In this role, you will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the successful expansion of the business. You will work closely with Payroll, Area, and Store teams, providing key insights and recommendations.

Previous experience with a payroll processing environment. Excellent attention to detail skills and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software / systems.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, especially in VLOOKUP & Pivot tables.Experience in managing a team.Ability to adopt a coaching approach enabling collegues to enhance their skills.. Continuous improvement mind-set.Self-driven and able to work in a fast paced environment.How to handle data for confidentiality purposes to ensure compliance to Data Protection Act.Statutory payments – legislationSome basic knowledge of Employment LawSome Knowledge of Asylum and immigration laws and processes
