Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM) Pre-Sales Consultant

Department Description                        

Oracle Pre-Sales is the function which provides product expertise to Sales, Customers & Partners in Oracle. Oracle has a large community of Sales Consultants that engage on a daily basis in tasks such as:

 Reusable product presentations, customizations & demonstrations by translating our customer's business needs into Oracle solutions  Advising customers & partners on how best to use Oracle products  Technical proofs of concept including the ones with data provided by clients  Interacting with product development about new releases and new functionality  Participation in additional projects with added value in departmental and organizational activity

If you enjoy being hands on with software, figuring out all the ins and outs, finding solutions to the hard problems, who loves to build awesome demos, then this is a great role for you.  Our Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Demo Engineering team is a team of custom demo builders and solution finding masters with a passion for all things SCM and staying ahead of the technology curve.

Role Overview:

This highly rewarding role will offer you the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills in Oracle Cloud SCM product area, and work in unison with Oracle’s best field sales consultants, solving complex customer problems and translating customer requirements into solutions that drive business results, building amazing demos and helping sales and working on challenging projects that leverage the latest technology and delivering solutions for our customers that transform businesses and deliver deep insight.

We are looking for good knowledge and experience related to one or more of the following SCM product areas:

Oracle Cloud Manufacturing product area (Discrete Manufacturing, Process Manufacturing, Mixed-mode Manufacturing, Production Scheduling, Project-driven Supply Chain, Contract Manufacturing, Smart Operations) Maintenance Cloud (Asset Management, Smart Operations, Maintenance Planning and Execution, Maintenance Cost Management, Parts Inventory Management, Project-specific Maintenance, Service Logistics and depot repair for asset-based service) Order Management Cloud (Omnichannel Order Management, Rapid Order Fulfilment, Pricing Management, Product and Service Configuration, Global Order Promising) Procurement Cloud (Procure-To-Pay, Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contracts, Business Network) Inventory Management Cloud (Materials Management, Cost Management, Financials and Supply Chain Orchestration) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Cloud (Innovation Management, Product Development, Quality Management, Configurator Modelling, Product Master Data Management)

The expectations from you in this role is to be able to harness your Oracle Cloud SCM experience to technically implement complex Oracle-based solutions in the analytics and data integration space. Oracle’s cloud-first strategy is creating new opportunities that enable our clients to take insight to the next level.

In addition to project implementation activities, we expect our consultants to give back to the team by sharing knowledge and best practices with others.

This is a critical role in driving the continued success of Oracle’s customers in North America.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Good expertise and a proven track record with Oracle’s Oracle Cloud SCM suites Ability to discuss key industry issues and a passion for figuring out solutions “Willing to do” attitude and capacity to self-learn new things with/without minimal guidance Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical knowledge will be a plus (VBS/VBCS, Java script, Groovy scripting, Database and PL/SQL knowledge)

Additional Requirements:

Experience in various industries such as Industrial Manufacturing, Professional Services, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Higher Education, and Life Sciences.  Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments. High energy & drive coupled with strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to exercise good judgment.
