Job Description

AECOM is hiring a Municipal Roads Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ottawa, ON.

This is a great opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Design and deliver municipal road infrastructure projectsPrepare engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specsEnsure compliance with municipal/provincial design standardsProvide mentorship to junior staffCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersDeliver projects on time, on budget, and to client expectations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering2+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideally 4+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experienceEIT in OntarioSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation/Bentley, InRoads/OpenRoadsKnowledge of OPS, TAC, and municipal guidelinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience in urban/rural road design, intersections, and active transportationAble to work independently and in teamsFrench language skills are considered an assetExperience working for other Ontario municipalities will be considered an asset.
