_About the job_
_The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) manager is a field-facing role whose main objectives are to:_
+ _Supervise the identification and prioritization of KOLs within the region and the development of individualized engagement plans for the MSLs_
+ _Support MSLs in engaging KOLs and provide additional assistance in field_
+ _Attend KOL engagement events with MSLs. Monitor, track and report team performance to Medical Liaison head_
+ _Coach MSLs on KOL engagement and communication, and tactical plan development_
+ _Provide regular and timely feedback to the Medical Liaisons_
+ _Be the trusted scientific partner to key external experts by conducting timely, appropriate and frequent scientific exchanges to enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products_
+ _Maintain effective and appropriate communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, Medical Information and Commercial Operations) while maintaining full compliance with relevant company, industry, legal and regulatory requirements_
+ _Demonstrate operational understanding and risk management by ensuring excellence in execution within the boundaries of all governance processes_
_About you_
**_Education:_**
+ _Master degree or above in medical science; clinical experience preferred_
+ _Expertise or education in project and team management preferred._
**_Experience & knowledge:_**
+ _3+ years of industry experience in medical affairs, preferably in field-based functions_
+ _3+ years in management positions, preferably supervising field-based personnel_
+ _Experience managing, coaching, & developing small teams_
**_Core competencies:_**
_Leadership_
+ _Capable of leading and managing a team of MLs Strong coaching skills Able to conduct detailed performance assessments of team._
_KOL Engagement and Management_
+ _Able to coach MLs on how to identify and develop robust KOL engagement plans Ability to allocate resources according to Medical and Therapeutic Area priorities Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and solid understanding of key interaction points between Marketing, Sales, Key Accounts and Medical Liaison team Capable of monitoring, tracking and reviewing performance to ensure quarterly and annual performance targets are achieved Capable of engaging with leading academic, clinical and other thought leaders_
_Clinical skills_
+ _Understanding of disease X and therapy class Y Insights on the major global trials & scientific findings in disease area as well as implications_
_Other Skills_
+ _Strong communication and presentation skills in English Negotiation and scientific dialogue skills_
