You will be part of the Network Planning Tools team. The Network Planning Tool adds intelligence, automation, and efficiency to optical networking operations. 

It provides a highly sophisticated, multi-functional software application that is designed to help service providers design, engineer, plan and optimize WDM/OTN/packet optical networks.

During your internship, you will be able to test the latest technologies and work on innovative projects that could leave a global impact. 

You will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented test software engineers, delivering new software capabilities to the WaveSuite Planner product test suite. 

You’ll work with leading-edge technology, using software test best practices, automation, and simulation, producing software releases for external customers. 

You must have:

Exposure to networking concepts

You have:

A passion for testing with solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsA passion for delivering quality software Experience with Python or another scripting/programming languageAn ability to visualize business requirements in terms of workflows, use cases, and an overall user experience

As part of our team, you will:

Evaluate an end-to-end system with GUI and custom-made APIs with back-end software that interacts with the optical networking equipment/tools.Design and implement manual and/or automated tests to iteratively validate the functionality, scalability, and stability of WaveSuite Planner's proposed solution, using judgment to strategically balance quality, schedule, and cost. Act as a customer advocate to identify, characterize, troubleshoot, and evaluate fixes for defects or enhancements to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
