What You Can Expect


This role will report to the Chief Innovation, Strategy and Business Development Officer and the Senior VP of Investor Relations.

You will be responsible for developing and leading the market intelligence and forecasting team to provide insights to the Commercial, Strategy, Business Development, and Investor Relations teams, among others. Duties include:
 

Forecasting orthopedic volume and pricing trendsBuilding market modelsIdentifying and analyzing changing market dynamicsProspective market data collection through means such as doctor conversations, surveys and 3rd party sourcesForecasting market share shifts, and monitoring the competitive landscapeServe as a resource in the development of Zimmer Biomet Holdings (ZBH) business strategies.How You'll Create Impact

 

Monitor and elevate to ZBH leadership, business and regional partners business, competitive, customer and industry issues affecting Zimmer Biomet’s (ZB) including procedural and market trendingBuild regional and country market models that are adjusted real-time based on market research findings and leveraging predictive analytics in partnership with data science teamsManage the development of Global Business market models that provide a 3-to-5-year Market ProjectionLead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts to craft compelling data narratives that enhance and support market models with clear, actionable insightsConduct market research to inform prospective market intelligence and forecasting:Regularly perform doctor interviews and surveys (utilizing 3rd parties) to gauge shifting market dynamics, forecast procedure volumes and market share trendsSurvey and speak with hospital/ASC management to understand pricing dynamics and capital budgetsUse prospectively gathered data to assist with product launch strategies and forecastingTrack competitive developmentsWork closely with the commercial and finance teams to assist in the development of near- and longer-term ZBH forecastsPressure test models/assumptions against Analyst forecastsSupport the IR team to gather market and product intelligence for investor presentations and communicationsSupport business and strategy teams to provide prospective market trending and data to support strategic investments, launch strategies and forecasting Serve as a resource for ZBH strategic decisionsWhat Makes You Stand Out

 

Deep experience in medical device market research, including utilizing 3rd party resourcesStrong understanding of the global healthcare system, including market dynamics, payor landscape and regulatory pathwaysUnderstanding of medical device markets in general, and orthopedics specifically Strong financial analytical skills, including building and maintaining market modelsExperience with modeling market share dynamics and product launchesProficiency with Microsoft Office, i.e., Power Point, Excel, and WordProficiency with analytics software, i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, Altryx, etc. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oralExperience leading teamsYour Background

 

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience, or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 12+ years of related experience required Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple direct reportsAdvance degree preferred: Masters or PhDComfortable with setting and executing strategiesExperience with C-Suite communication


Compensation:

Expected Compensation: $185,000-$231,000
