We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Solutions team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Managing Consultant/VP within our Forensic Accounting team. The Forensic Accounting team is a key business unit within the Claims Solutions practice and is a specialised practice devoted to providing expert Insurance related Accounting and Analytical services.We are recognised as global leaders in our field of pre-loss consulting and post-event claims preparation, in the areas of Property Damage, Business Interruption, Product Recall and Cyber.The successful candidate will act as the Engagement Manager and be responsible for managing an allocated client base to provide advice on small to mid-sized losses for clients across a wide range of industry sectors. For larger claims, you will collaborate with more senior team members. This may include claim investigation and claim file preparation, quantification of the actual loss, investigating and resolving coverage issues and negotiating with Insurers to reach an agreeable settlement.Furthermore, the role is to help provide expert technical and strategic advice to assist our clients in mitigating their risk exposures.We will count on you to:
Work with clients to understand and quantify the loss incurred through analysing and validating financial and accounting dataConduct financial modelling and prepare comprehensive loss analysisPrepare the claims file for large loss submission to ensure all loss considerations are includedWork with the client, insurers and loss adjusters to reach an agreeable settlementSeek opportunities to identify proposal leads in consultation with relevant stakeholdersDeliver work within established budgets, timeframes and deadlinesPrepare project proposals, plans and reports to ensure project is delivered according to the project planWhat you need to have:
Relevant tertiary education and/or forensic accounting qualification6 to 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, with at least 2 to 3 years in forensic accountingIndustry experience in insurance or audit firms preferred, with a background in claims, accounting, or loss adjustingStrong analytical skills with an enquiring mind and natural numeracyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business software.What makes you stand out?
