Position Overview:

· This role supports the Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Business Unit Franchise to achieve its goals by leading, directing and supporting activities that will bring about changes in clinical practice to support the increased adoption of key Convatec brands, products and services.

· The role has a global remit but will focus on key markets and treatment venues. It will require the setting up and maintenance of strong networks, internally and externally, focused on current and future clinical practice.

The role may include providing medical and clinical representation on

New Product Development (NPD) Core Teams.

Key Skills:

Drive the GEM Medical Affairs strategy in LATAM by driving

A) Robust KOL Management Strategy

· Fostering strong Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships - Identify and develop relationships with KOLs across LATAM, to build knowledge and advocacy for our strategic solutions.

· Facilitate KOL engagements in Med Affairs initiatives including key Advisory Boards, participate and present in key meetings.

B) Scientific Communication, Data Generation & Knowledge Sharing

· Provide high quality, clinical insight-driven medical and scientific expertise to support the development of content for advisory boards, scientific symposia, presentations and publications.

· Establish and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, medical societies and other relevant stakeholders.

· Develop a strategy outlining key evidence and publication requirements for LATAM

· Contribute to scientific articles, abstracts, and outcomes-based presentations and publications to exemplify the services and products of the company.

· • Clinical case compendiums for LATAM

C) Steering Medical Education & Training

· Develop and implement a comprehensive medical education plan for internal teams, external healthcare professionals, and stakeholders in the wound care community.

· Lead the creation and delivery of educational materials and training programs for medical, sales, and marketing teams.

D) Evidence Generation Strategy and Execution

· Aligning and informing the global evidence generation strategy (per franchise) on LATAM needs - identfy and develop the evidence generation needs/gaps and plans to obtain and maintain patient access and integrates them into the evidence generation strategy.

· Accountable for the evidence generation strategy planning and execution, incl. clinical studies, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS), RWD and others for both pipeline and in market products as appropriate for LATAM.

E) Cross-functional Collaboration:

· Collaborate with the Clinical Research Team/s to ensure proper conduct of LATAM based clinical trials

· Collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to ensure timely approvals and market access for wound care products.

Your Profile:

A degree in nursing – Wound and Ostomy Care is preferred. Candidates having a MD / PhD in life sciences degree may be considered. Strong command in Spanish, Portuguese and proficiency in English (speaking and written) is desirable

· Minimum of 2 years of Medical Affairs experience in the medical device, biotechnology, and tissue biologics of the healthcare industry.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the Wound, Ostomy and/ or Continence care therapeutic landscape, with a strong understanding of Latin American medical landscape is highly desirable.

· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial design, and evidence generation in LATAM

· Expertise in scientific communication, including publications, conference presentations, and medical education.

· Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and written skills.

· Excellent negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales and marketing leadership.
